About The Author:
Rivky Koenig, a wife and mother of five, is passionate about family life, crafting, and preserving Jewish traditions. As a teacher, she has gained recognition for her tactile, hands-on approach to pedagogy, reinforcing subject matter through artistic and creative tasks. Rivky has become known for her imaginative approach, integrating arts and crafts projects into the curriculum. “It’s well known that people learn more by doing than by hearing,” she reflects.
Rivky loves to share her passion and enthusiasm for creativity. This led to the creation of her new best-selling title, Crafting Jewish. An accomplished crafting and scrapbooking instructor, Rivky has been the Crafts Workshop Director at Camp Hedva, a sleep-away camp in the Catskills, for the past eight years, where campers and staff alike enthusiastically create "Rivky inspired" mementos and “objets d’art” of their own. Rivky also co-owns and operates Scrapabilities, a crafting and scrapbooking enterprise. Scrapabilities offers private crafting parties for birthdays and other occasions, and Rivky travels far and wide helping kids develop their innate creativity while having the time of their lives. Rivky also spent significant time sharing her love for crafts and her dedication to others by providing crafting sessions at rehabilitation and senior centers, enabling people with disabilities to overcome difficulties and fashion beauty that has enhanced their lives.
